Mercury’s two new state-of-the-art VesselView multi-function displays are now available along with the brilliant new VesselView Link digital interface – state of the art technology to make boating safer, easier and even more enjoyable.
When Mercury Marine first introduced its VesselView onboard management system it was a leap forward, putting real-time data about your boat and engine performance right at the driver’s fingertips. Now, the VesselView502 and VesselView702 displays take the easy-to-use technology to new heights.
VesselView502 – With a 5-inch (12.7 cm) widescreen display and a 16×9 HD aspect ratio, the multi-touch interface can show data for up to four engines and is capable of interfacing with broadband sonar with CHIRP, DownScan imaging, and a full-featured chart plotter.
The VesselView502 has no buttons, although users can opt for a remote display control interface with rotary dial and buttons.
Equipped with a Micro SD card slot on the back of the unit for installing Maps plus gauge updates, it also comes with internal high-speed 10 Hz GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and is GoFree cloud-enabled.
VesselView702 – Featuring a 7-inch (17.8 cm) widescreen display with 16×9 HD aspect ratio, its multi-touch screen incorporates a keypad and rotary dial.
Information from up to four engines can be displayed at any one time and an Ethernet connection allows it to interface with radar, sonar and chart-sharing (one card, multiple devices).
The VesselView702 incorporates two video inputs, Micro SD card slots, and also features internal GPS and a full-featured chart plotter. A GoFree WiFi module is included as part of the kit.
Both new VesselView multi-function displays are NMEA 2000-compatible and are capable of interfacing with AIS (Automatic Identification System), C-Zone digital switching and audio interfaces from Fusion Link or Sonic Hub. Free periodic software updates will be available via WiFi through the GoFree Store.
VesselView Link – A further improvement to this cutting edge technology, VesselView Link is now also available. This under-the-dash system integrates a Mercury-powered boat’s SmartCraft data and control system with specific Simrad and Lowrance instruments.
This means boat owners with Mercury outboards and a fish finder such as the Lowrance HDS Gen2 Touch or HDS Gen3 can have the full VesselView experience, displayed on the fish finder screen, instead of having to rely on analog gauges.
Available as a single-engine or multi-engine (two to four engines) interface, Mercury VesselView Link easily installs beneath the boat’s dash and is engineered to work with Simrad NSS evo2 and NSO evo2 marine processors, and Lowrance HDS Gen 2 Touch and HDS Gen 3 fish finder/chart plotters.
Mercury’s new VesselView Link provides the user with instant access to advanced Mercury SmartCraft features, including:
– ECO mode
– Troll Control in 10-RPM increments
– Cruise Control (RPM or speed-based)
– SmartTow tow sport launch control system (RPM or speed-based) with customisable user launch profiles and a new intuitive interface utilising the Launch Target cursor.
– Descriptive fault text for any potential propulsion issue available in 16 user-selectable languages.
